Discovery Center field trip

What a beautiful day we had for our field trip.  It was a perfect culmination of our Ecosystems unit this quarter!  The kids made us proud by knowing all of the important terms the guides used.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Activities from October and November

First, I want to apologize for not regularly posting on the blog.  This year, I have started using Twitter more than the blog. You can see the Twitter feed up in the right hand corner.  It seems to be a faster way for me to get pictures of classroom activities out there.  So, if you aren't following on Twitter, you should!  @TR_Scott_205

Now to do some back posting of pictures from October and November.

We had a guest speaker from the Missouri Department of Conservation to talk to us about Missouri animals and their ecosystems.

We had our second annual TR Cardboard Challenge.

We completed our nonfiction unit by creating posters of a topic we enjoyed during the unit.

We enjoyed our Fall Party.

We started Book Clubs.

We tested candy to see if it was meltable.

We did some reader's theater, once in October and again in November.  The kids really liked it!
