Researching Cultures

Students are researching cultures with partners for social studies. We have been learning about using Google apps, and they will create a presentation about a country. I love the way these kids learn technology so quickly!

Fabulous Friday!

Thursday we reviewed for our multiplication test by doing math rotations.  We played Pesky Properties, Memory Math, Catch the Monkey, and To the Moon.  Don't forget...our ice cream sundae party is next week.  Encourage your kiddos to practice their facts.

This little lady was the first to pass her 12s test in multiplication!  She is sure to enjoy her banana split with a cherry on top!

We've been comparing and contrasting during our Reader's Workshop time. These kids compared and contrasted books from a book series. Way to go!

Meet Miss Kuhl

Hi parents! My name is Kristen Kuhl, and I will be student teaching in Mrs. Scott’s classroom this semester! I am currently receiving my Teaching Certification in Elementary Education at Avila University. In 2010, I received my Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri. I’ve always had a passion for journalism and education, so after graduating from Mizzou, I wanted to explore the field of education. Shortly after, I was accepted into an AmeriCorps program called City Year. During my time in City Year, I was a teaching assistant for a fifth grade classroom, and I also tutored and mentored students in a variety of grade levels. After my City Year experience, I knew I wanted to become a teacher! I am so excited to finally be back into the classroom setting. I know I will learn a lot about teaching being paired with Teacher of the Year in the Park Hill School District! This week, I spent a lot of time observing and working with your children. They are such bright learners! I am looking forward to working with them this semester. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. My e-mail is
