Teacher of the Year Nominee... Seriously?!

I received some exciting news today! I was nominated and chosen as a finalist for Teacher of the Year in Park Hill School District. I shared this with the students today. It's an honor to be a nominee and to be recognized for the work we do as educators. Thank you to the students, parents, and my co-workers who make coming to work everyday fun and enjoyable!

Valentine Store Prezi

Raffle for PH After Prom

Tiffany Ridge students and staff can support the Park Hill School District After-Prom activities.

ü  An “art deco bowling pin” has been created by Mrs. De La Piedra and is on
display in the glass case under the stairs.
We support the Park Hill School District After-Prom by giving students/staff the opportunity to win that bowling pin via a $1.00 raffle. The money raised from the raffle is then donated by Tiffany Ridge to the District After-Prom fund.

ü  Buy your $1 raffle ticket from the office any time this week

ü  The communication services department for Park Hill will take a picture
of the winning student with the Tiffany Ridge “art deco bowling pin”.
The winner will be announced on Friday afternoon, Feb. 15th.

Text Features

This week we have been learning about non-fiction text features. We used issues of Time for Kids to search for examples of text features such as captions, diagrams, timelines, maps, glossary, headings, and special font. Students created these posters and labeled the text features they found. Today we played a triple match game and tomorrow we will start our PowerPoint presentations on text features.
